Community Standards and Safety
Last updated: 4 November 2026
RIDER is where riders connect. The rules below keep the community safe and trustworthy.
Safety first
Do not promote illegal racing, weaving, speeding or riding after drinking. Do not post video filmed while riding. Road alerts must be truthful; false road information that creates danger is removed and may cost you your badge.
Respect
No harassment, insults, discrimination or threats. Do not post other people’s personal information (licence plates, home addresses, phone numbers) without consent.
Honesty
No impersonation, fraud, account trading, or fake trips to earn titles or rankings. The discovery map and leaderboards count only trips recorded with real GPS.
Prohibited content and restricted areas
Content that breaks Vietnamese law; pornography; violence; prohibited or counterfeit goods; false information; copyright infringement. Do not post photos, routes or coordinates of military zones or places where photography is banned; RIDER removes such areas from the discovery map and shared GPX files.
How content is shown
The Following tab shows only posts from people you follow. The Community tab suggests public posts. Posts limited to followers or a group appear only within that scope. RIDER does not currently accept payment to promote posts.
Reporting and appeals
Report posts, accounts (⋯ button), comments and messages (long-press) and 24-hour stories (flag button). RIDER reviews within 24 hours; violating content is removed and the poster may be suspended. Blocking someone hides you from each other and stops messages. To appeal a decision: Help center.
Road safety
- No handling while riding. Road traffic law prohibits holding a phone while the vehicle is moving. Mount the phone securely and use the walkie-talkie through earphones.
- SOS and crash detection send your location to your group and emergency contact, need mobile signal and may give false alarms or miss events. In an emergency always call 113 (police), 114 (fire and rescue), 115 (ambulance) or 112.
- Directions, weather and alerts are for reference and may be late or wrong. Always follow road signs, signals and real conditions.
- Speed and distance from GPS can be off and are not legal evidence.
- Group leaders should check vehicles, documents, insurance and members’ health before a trip. Everyone is responsible for their own riding.
Verification and badges
The blue badge is for verified individuals (selfie taken in the app matches the reference photo, phone number, enough time and GPS trips, no violations). The orange badge is for Media or Business accounts approved by RIDER. Badges cannot be bought. Face photos are seen only by the review team, never shown publicly and deleted after the result.
Advertising and business
Media accounts that receive money, goods or benefits to promote a product must clearly mark the content as advertising or a partnership. No false or prohibited advertising. Business accounts must hold a valid tax or business number and are responsible for goods, services, warranty and invoices as required. Before the rider Market opens, RIDER completes the procedure with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and publishes the marketplace rules.
